Hi: First post here and I'm not very experienced.
Browsing through the topics I couldn't find one related specifically with broken links.
After installing Plugin and activating it, I've noticed that there could be a problem about links not working anymore.
Too late unfortunately for me.
I've restore my site but I guess the changes made to WP are still en effect since the internal links don't work.
i.e. from Catergories, recent posts, or More links to the correct pages.
Is there a way to fix this after deactivation?
I guess someone had the same problem before and I'd appreciate any help on the subject.
Be well.

Scan,
What all did you restore in your WordPress? (Install files & Database)
Send me a link to your site so I can see the broken links. It's hard to determine exactly what's broken after installing Multi-Site.

I didn't backup WP but my site and I restore the site backup but my mistake was that I didn't backup the WP settings.
Rookie mistake and more so, I didn't read your warning about it until it was too late.
Now I've disable the plugin, erased the subdomain I've created and try to go back to the old setup, but obviously WP it's already changed by your installation.
Is there a way to restore the WP configuration to the way it was prior to installing your plugin?
I've read a little bit about changing the php.file but it goes over my head.
my site is http://www.datingtipsfree.com and the links that don't work are the ones on the left side bar (like recent post or categories) and the "read more" links on the main page.
I have some redirect plug in installed and what I get is redirections to the main page or the same post.

All your links seem to work just fine?

Yes, they do now. I've deactivated some plugins, including yours, erased the sub-domains and * changes I've made.In short I don't know why but they work again.
But the links were not working when the plugin was activated. I'd like to have the option to use your plugin and enable multi sites; my questions:
Is there a detailed explanation somewhere about the changes I need to perform on c-panel, host or WP to avoid any problems like the one that started this topic about links?
Can a non-techie guy be able to perform those changes without messing up big? and finally
If that is not recommended, leaving the plugin deactivated could cause any changes to the way things run on a single site configuration? (I read somewhere in the forum that some files need to be deleted manually even after deleting the plugin. Do I need to mess with wp-config.php file?.
Thanks for your help.
Be well.

Here is a link for uninstalling multi-site: http://jgwebdevelopment.com/2011/03/22/how-to-uninstall-wordpress-multi-site/
Here is a link for configuring your server: http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network#Step_2:_Setting_Wildcard_Subdomains
You had said you deleted subdomains. When you use multi-site, you shouldn't create subdomains manually in your cpanel. That's what the wildcard dns is for.
Side note, my plugin doesn't have any effect on the blog until you click the enable multi-site button. So any issues you were having are in regards to another plugin or theme on your site.
If you need further assistance requiring one-on-one help given your non techie background, I am available for $40/hour. Most fixes can be done in 1 – 2 hours.
I wish you the best of luck.

Thank your answers.
I'll go over the links you've sent me and see if the instructions there are something I could handle.
Comment: I did click the enable multi-site button and then I had the problem with the broken links, but also I've created one subdomain on top of using the wild card.
Do you think that could've caused the problem?
In any case. Thank you.

Only if the subdomain was the same as the subdomain used on your multi-site. It would just cause a conflict.
